Does call of duty 4 multiplayer still work?

it says 0/0 total players in playlists and 0 total players online. i googled this and it says that it gets fixed if you restart your xbox or if the server is down but i'm wondering if cod4 multiplayer is just dead now. does it work for anybody else?
