The new tumblr app won't work?

every time i try to log in on my tumblr app on my itouch, a thing pops up that says "there was an error authenticating with tumblr." i have no idea what that even means. i tried restarting my ipod but it does the same thing and i even asked my friends and they told me that the app is working for them. please help me.
