Heart problem question?

My dads blood pressure went from 198/132 with a pulse of 65 to 143/96 with a pulse of 69 in less than 10 minutes. He says the medicine he took would make his blood vessel open up to let the blood flow through. He also says it feels like a bowling ball is being placed on his chest.
