How does a new and dead way differ from the new and living way?

Gods words are living and it will never pass away. Jesus says this world may pass away but my words will never pass away. there is nothing new from Gods word for he does not change he will always be the same. the only thing that has to change is us humans to deny self who is dead and come to the newness of life which is in Christ.
