Something is wrong with my laptop ?!?

okay all of a sudden i cant right click & save pictures. i tried copying the picture so i can paste it on paint but when i click the paint button paint wont open up. notepad wont even open. Also when i click my volume button it wont pop up, and when i click my tools (internet options) at the top of my browser it wont pop up. whats wrong & how do i fix it. i tried restarting my computer, no difference.
